Bound in white paper covered boards printed in red and black. The Cushing Library/Ragan Military copy is stamped "For Review" on contents page. The Cushing Library/Ragan Military copy was acquired as a set of four issues of The Owl, former ownership attributed to Siegfried Sassoon. The set is housed together in a special clamshell box with a spine label "The Owl - Siegfried Sasson's Copies." The four piece set is composed of two copies of the first issue of The Owl, a copy of the second issue of The Owl with a stamp on the title page indicating it "For Review", and a copy of the third issue, The Winter Owl which is inscribed "Mother, with love from Sig. Xmas 1923." |
