| Summary: | Previously published in print up until the 1970s, the publication has been brought up to date by the AAS Journals editorial team. This new incarnation takes advantage of modern technology to provide rapid publication and dissemination of results. Research Notes of the AAS is an indexed and secure record of works in progress, comments and clarifications, null results, or timely reports of observations in astronomy and astrophysics. RNAAS was developed as a supported and long-term communication channel for results such as these that would otherwise be difficult to broadly disseminate to the professional community and persistently archive for future reference. Submissions are not peer reviewed, but are reviewed by an editor for appropriateness. Research Notes are currently free to publish and read -- Publisher's description.
