Abstract:This report presents information regarding federal, state, and local revenue sources for funding transit in urban and rural areas in Texas. All public transit systems are eligible for federal funding from the Federal Transit Administration. On the state level, the Texas Department of Transportation is the agency that allocates state transit funds. The report likewise summarizes the revenues applied for operating and capital expenses in fiscal year 2016. (TTI website).
