Item Description:6 of a series of 12 novellas written by Miguel de Cervantes between 1590 and 1612.
Date taken from additional title page for "Tome premier". Each novella has separate title pages with varying dates (1776, 1777, 1778) and imprints.
The title pages of all but the first two include name of translator: M. Lefebvre de Villebrune. The first two, "La Bohémienne" and "L'Amant libéral," were translated by C. Coste d'Arnobat. cf. BM.
Includes plates by Desrais engraved by different artists.
