| Item Description: | Title from introductory pamphlet title page. Introductory pamphlet has publication date of 2014 on title page; digitally printed book has publication date of 2016 on title page. Edition of 30 numbered copies, issued in cloth covered clamshell box. The Cushing Library/Laughlin copy is number26 and is signed by Peter R. Thoomas and Donna Thomas. The label on the front cover of container is a sales sample, printed for A. Millbourn & Co., Ltd. at Tuckenhay Mill, on mill made paper. "Thirty copies of 'The Tuckenhay Mill : people & paper' were printed, assembled, and bound by Peter & Donna Thomas assisted by Katharina Siedler. This introductory pamphlet was letterpress printed using Neuland and Centaur types on paper made by Peter and Katharina using papermaking moulds from the Tuckenhay Mill. 'They made the paper in Tuckenhay Mill' is a digitally printed book. 'The Tuckenhay paper samples' is a gathering of twenty-two sheets of paper that were salvaged from the Tuckenhay Mill when its contents were being burned. Copies 1-10 have all the paper samples. Copy 1 has one hundred additional sample papers from the Tuckenhay Mill. Copy 2 has ten duplicates from the additional sample papers. Copies 11-16 lack sample 1. Copies 17-28 lack samples 1, 6, 7 & 10. Copies 29-30 lack samples 1, 6, 7, 10, & 12 ... This pamphlet, the digital book and the Tuckenhay paper samples are all bound using Lexpar Legal Parchment paper, also salvaged from the Tuckenhay Mill"--Colophon of introductory pamphlet. Copies 1-21 also include "Handmade paper in Tuckenhay Devon" / by Catherine Cox (Totnes, Devon : Folkcrafts, Limited, 1977) 12 page booklet printed by C.E. McNally of Totnes ; copies 1-15 also include "Three hundred years of paper making" (Eyensford, Kent, England : Arnold and Foster, 1948) 44-page booklet printed at the Curwen Press and including 15 samples of Arnold papers made at Eynsford Mill.
