The two leaves are attached together as they were in the book and enclosed in a board case which opens to display the leaves as they appeared in the book. Likely printed by the Fuzhou officials in honor of the birthday of the Emperor Hiuan-tsang, in January of the first year of his reign (1101 A.D.). |
