Summary:	Collection of correspondence from a radio operator in the Amphibious Corps of the Marine Corps to his parents in San Gabriel, California. All with postmarked enveloped addressed to "Mrs D.A. Thomas".
Item Description:	Five letters written during training in the United States; four letters, including a V-mail, written from overseas whilst serving in the campaign on Guam. Later in the war, he participated in the campaign on Iwo Jima, Japan. 1945. Purchased for the Cushing Library/Ragan Military collection by The Cushing Library. Most letters accompanied by envelopes. The Cushing Library/Ragan Military copy contains a bookseller's description.
