Description
Abstract:This paper gives methods that efficiently and understandably use measurements from calibrated instuments. While many new methods such as PLS are efficient in some settings they are hard to understand. We give an understandable method that uses saddlepoint and standard approximation to combine nonlinear estimates from different regions of the instrument response.
