Item Description:	Detached from: Southwest Review (Dallas, Tex.). Vol 47, number 3 (Summer 1962). A collection of testimony given at hearings before the Textbook Investigative Committee of the Texas House of Representatives on January 24, 1962. Members of the Texas Institute of Letters who presented testimony were J. Frank Dobie, Reverend Joseph Dawson, Frank Wardlaw, Lon Tinkle, and Ernest Mossner. Article also includes additional commentary by Frank E. Vandiver, Paul F. Boller and recent resolutions passed by American Studies Association of Texas and the Texas Library Association. The Cushing Library/Lit./Dobie copy is inscribed to the Stanfords by Frank [Dobie] and is a gift of Mr. and Mrs. T. Rucker Stanford.
