Abstract:	This is a tutorial on wavelets with special emphasis on spline-wavelets. It may be considered as a continuation of the tutorial article [2] written about a year ago for the Lancaster workshop. However, this present article is intended to be self-contained, as much as possible, with the danger of some overlapping. It is again written from the point of view of an approximation theorist with special interest in spline functions and applications to signal analysis.
