Item Description:	Title devised by cataloger. Designs originally prepared (and tentatively paginated) for the 1738 Spanish edition of Don Quixote published by Tonson in London, but rejected as unacceptable to Lord Carteret, the sponsor; also reproduced in a later state in The works of William Hogarth, London: Baldwin and Cradock, [1835-37]. Plates from "The works of William Hogarth from the original plates; restored by James Heath, with the addition of many subjects not before collected". The Cushing Library/Rare Books copies are two versions. The 6 prints are the same, but in a different order. Quality of printing and paper also varies.
