| Item Description: | Title devised by bookseller. The 315th Engineers organized in August 1917 at Camp Travis, Texas. Captions written into prints. Photographs posssibly developed by Verne Sabin (1890-1976) who worked for American Expeditionary Force (A.E.F.) in Virginia, later ran a photography studio in San Antonio, Texas. Photos developed on European lined postcard stock without stamp-boxes; apart from first card which is developed on Kodak AZO photographic paper with 2 arrows up/2 arrows down stamp-box, likely made in USA. The Cushing Library/Ragan Military copy contains a bookseller's description. Purchased for the Cushing Library/Ragan Military collection by The Cushing Library. |
