| Item Description: | Samples of printing by or for 31 present and former members of the Roxburghe Club of San Francisco. "From the outset of this project it was clear that not every copy of the portfolio could contain exactly the same examples of printing, because archival materials are included together with current work"--Preface. Consists of 32 bifolia, the first containing preliminaries and colophon, the others having descriptive letterpress on the first page only and enclosing 1 or more samples. "This edition is limited to 100 copies, numbered 1 through 100, for members of the Roxburghe Club of San Francisco. In addition, 30 special copies, so marked, have been prepared for the contributors"--Colophon. The Cushing Library/Lowman/Book Design copy is number89 and contains a sales receipt. |
