Description
Summary:Zsolt Tibor's conceptual deliberations not only revolve around the formal and contentual reference matrix in his subjective system cosmos. They also address far more general networks and the question how his works can belong to them and which ones to begin with. Networks open up spaces. Contextual spaces, which Boris Groys referred to in his essay, in which he makes a distinction between private space, the inner visual space completely under the control of the artist, and public space, the space that transcends this field of influence, such as that of politics, the institution, the art market, analogue and digital distribution, reception or critique. It is about intervening in life spaces, for nowhere else in art can this be more strongly experienced as there where space and everything that takes place within it become materials and the recipients become protagonists in the installation. Tibor's installations synthesise drawings, assemblages, sculptures and in many cases the immaterial light of the projection into experiential spaces, which transform and expand depending on the exhibition situation. Often the same objects and installation components are recombined, and time and again the artist plays a cryptic game of presence and absence, reality and virtuality.
