Shows: Group of individuals (dressed in sheets more like ghosts rather than the robes and pointed hats of later KKK groups) challenging a white man at gunpoint whilst he is kneeling at a grave. Possibly depicting Knights of the White Camelia who were prepared to intimidate black and white Republicans alike including Henry C. Warmoth, first Republican Governor of Louisiana, June 1868.
