On title pages of numbers 11-<13>, note below issue number reads: "A collection of essays upon topics of government." Issues numbers 1-10 originally printed as columns in Dublin newspapers, 12 May-15 Sept. 1792, and reissued with continuing numbers and title: The Patriot: a collection of essays upon topics of government: Dublin, 1792. Leaf issued with numbers 13 reads in part: "These XIII. numbers of The Patriot to be had of Henry Watts ... Price two British shillings". Advertisement bound with copy cataloged reads in part: "The following essays have at different times appeared in one of the daily papers: ...[with] this collection [of] the first nine [i.e. ten] numbers... the author may be enabled to judge whether a continuation of them woul be a useful employment, ..".
