Summary:Album of mounted snapshots of various planes mainly of the Imperial German Air Service during World War I. An array of different German planes shown, some parked on the airstrip and some after crashing, but most emblazoned with the Iron Cross. Some with pilots and other members of the air service. Includes military aircraft from other countries, toward the end are two American fighter planes as well as a British fighter plane used after the war by the Skywriting Corporation of America. The purpose or compiler of the album unknown but possibly includes snapshots of German aircraft brought to the United States for evaluation after the war. Many of the images were taken at the same air field.
