| Item Description: | "William Lilly Stover" is not found in genealogical sources or Rhode Island vital records, and is an obvious pseudonym incorporating the name of the 17th century English astrologer William Lilly. Advertised in the Newport herald, Nov. 4, 1790. The eclipse notes, ephemeris, and calendar pages (except for weather predictions) are identical with those in the Rhode-Island almanack for 1791, by Elisha Thornton, also printed by Edes.
