The Unhappy lover's garland, in three parts : I.How a country shepherd was smitten with the charms of a fair lady, but was afraid to reveal his mind, by reason of his station. II. How his love came to be made known, and how the lady consented III. How when her father heard of it, he threaten'd them with the greatest severity, and at last forced her to marry a nobleman, at Great Saint Ann's Church, London; which caus'd her to run distracted, and die, in a raving manner. Concluding with her father settling fifty pounds a year on the shepherd, and how he soon after broke his heart for the loss of his love.
