To the freemen of Coventry. The vile, canting, deceitful R---rs was a principal contriver and director of the pious attempt to knock out your brains. H-----x was stupidly privy to it, and he, poor man, forwarded it as far as he could.-After this, and having leagued with the most infamous characters in the nation against you, these two men have still the impudence to continue candidates to represent you in Parliament. It is an insult to your understandings. A friend to the freemen. P.S. You shall soon know the other conspirators and have a collection of the orations and admonitions against cowardice, by R-rs, &c. to the gang.
