Includes powers of attorney and trust deed granting Adolph Sutro, president and agent of the Sutro Tunnel Company, ample powers "to carry out the objects of the company and to raise the requisite capital abroad." The company was organized under the laws of the state of Nevada, on July 24, 1865, to run, construct, and excavate a mining and draining tunnel into the Comstock Lode.
