| Item Description: | Originated and edited by Samuel Parker, who was the principal contributor. Subtitle spelling varies slightly. Imprints include year of publication in roman. Imprints vary; from numbers 2 (Feb. 1708) the imprint reads in part: "for H[enry]. Clements at the Half-Moon in St. Paul's Church-Yard". Each number has individual title-page and continuous pagination and register throughout the year. A book review journal, intended to inform readers of the conformity of the books reviewed to the established church, and to protect readers from "foreign books and tracts" which might be viewed as anti-Anglican.
