On Sunday morning, the 27th inst. October, 1776, a charity sermon will be preached in the parish-church of St. Nicholas without, (commonly called St. Patrick's,) by the Reverend John Gast, D.D. archdeacon of Glandelagh, and minister of said parish, and a collection made for the support of twenty poor boys, who are annually cloathed, and carefully instructed in the principles of the Christian religion, reading, writing, and accompts, and, as they become qualified, are bound out to Protestant masters. The governors present their compliments to you, and request the favour of your presence and countenance at the above sermon. Let it suffice the charitable and humane, that said parish is poor, and that the Protestant inhabitants are by far the fewer number.
