Neess which (by order of the representative) will be sold by auction By. Mr. Christie, at his great room in Pall Mall, on Saturday the 22d of March, 1794, at twelve o'clock. Brought from his seat at Stanstead in Essex : To which, by permission, are added the valuable collection of His Excellency M[o]ns. Cavalli, late minister from Venice, consisting of the works of the following great masters in fine preservation, viz. Raphael, Parmigiano, Titian, P. Veronese, Bassan, Tintoret, O. Palma, L. da Vinci, Carracci, V. Castelli, Lucatelli, Canaletti, Borgognione, Claude, N. Poussin, Watteau, Rubens, Van Dyck, Teniers, Van Uden, P. Neefs, Quintus Matzius, W. Van de Velde, Van Harp, Cuyp, Vanderneer, Vangoyen, Polenberg, Wyck, Moucheron, P. Panini, Barrett, &c. Particularly, a most capital picture by D. Teniers of peasants shooting at a mark; diogenes in search after an honest man, by Jordaens; Cupids sporting at the Shrine of Venus, by Titian; a capital landscape by Claude; and a variety a cabinet pictures of the first class by the most favorite masters. Which will be sold by auction, by Mess. Christie and Ansell, at their great room, next Cumberland House, Pall Mall, on Friday the 30th of May, 1783, and the following day.
