George the Third, by the grace of God, King of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, defender of the faith, and so forth, to all to whom these presents shall come greeting. Whereas it appears to us, that great advantages may be derived from the establishment of a board, society, or body corporate, for the encouragement of agriculture and internal improvement, know ye therefore, that wee, of our especial grace, certain knowledge, and more motion, have ordained, given, and granted, and by these presents, for us, our heirs, and successors, do ordain, give, and grand, that there shall be, for ever hereafter, a board or society, which shall be called by the name of the Board or Society for the Encouragement of Agriculture and Internal Improvement.
