The Life of Dr. Archibald Cameron, brother to Donald Cameron of Lochiel, chief of that clan : Containing, I. The reasons which induced the doctor to list himself among the rebels. II. His principal business and employment in the chevalier's army. III. The genealogy of the Camerons, traced up to their first great ancestor; with many curious anecdotes, relating to the prowess and magnanimity of several chiefs of that clan. III. A character and description of the antient highlanders, their manners, customs, dress, language, hardiness, and peculiar way of life. With the proceedings against him at the Court of King's Bench, his behaviour at the tower after sentence, his taking leave of his wife and friends, the procession from the tower to the place of execution, and his behaviour there. With a curious print of Dr. Cameron, and another of Miss Jenny Cameron, in her military habit.

An Historical account of the rise and progress of the present dispute, relating to the election of a member of Parliament to represent the city of Edinburgh : Wherein the conduct of some managers is set in a just light, their designs against the rights of the incorporated craftsmen detected and traced from the time that they came into the administration; the conveener's conduct examined; together with the characters of several deacons, and the true spring of their opposition shewn. The whole designed as a serious advice to the several incorporations, at this critical juncture.

Also a particular account of his several attempts for the discovery of the gold mines in Guiana, and the reason of the miscarriage, shewing, that it was not from any defect in the scheme he had laid, or in the reality of the thing it self, but in a treacherous discovery of his design and of the strength he had with him, to the Spaniards. To which is added, an account how that rich country might now be with ease, posses'd, planted and secur'd to the British nation, and what immense wealth and encrease of commerce might be rais'd from thence. Humbly proposed to the South-Sea-Company.
