Email Record: We whose names are hereunto subscribed, members of the Society instituted at London for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce, do recommend Mr. Charles Taylor of Manchester, a candidate for the Office of Secretary to the said society, as a gentleman whose habits of life, zeal, abilities, appropriate information, and extensive practical knowledge, qualify him, in our opinion, in a peculiar manner, to discharge the duties of the office with the greatest honor to himself, and with equal advantage to the interests of the society.
