Memorial, shewing the reasonableness and necessity of a new erection, in the west end of the parish of Livingstoun, drawn from the many inconveniencies and grievancies, that the said west end of that parish lies yet under; notwithstanding many essays have been made towards obtaining relief from the same, about an hundred years ago, if not more, by many petitions, &c. as may be found among the Presbytery of Linlithgow their records: as also from the conveniencies and advantages, that may follow the obtaining that long wished for, and desired new erection, both to themselves and the neighbouring parishes: likewise from the much pains, &c. the Presbytery of Linlithgow have been at, of old and of late, in that affair, which evidenceth the sense they had, and still have of the necessity of the said new erection; which take as follows.
