Among other base and mean arts, it has been publicly insinuated, "that the petition to Parliament against the bill depending (for removing subscription by Protestant dissenting ministers, to the doctrinal articles of the established church) is signed only by five or six self-elected ministers, eked out with the names of several laymen and others, who are not affected by this bill." For the sake of real truth, it is hereby declared, that upwards of fifty regular Protestant dissenting ministers.
