Dear Sam, after we receiv'd our orders, by an express, we weigh'd and went to sea (in company with the Monmouth) which was on the 25th of April last; we met with nothing till the 30th, when we saw a sail just out of the water, we stood for her, and in seven hours came up with her, and took her; she prov'd a Spanish privateer of eighteen carriage and seven swivel guns, and had 126 men on board.
