Hyrule is the name of the mythical kingdom in which a vast majority of games within the Legend of Zelda series take place and serves as the center stage for many of the stories that unfold in the series. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is the third game in the series. It introduced the concept of two different worlds, the first "Light World" is the ordinary Hyrule, the second the "Dark World" is a corrupted version of Hyrule, the water is a dark, unpleasant color, the grass is dead, skulls replace rocks, and trees have faces. The Cushing Library/Science Fiction copy is part of the Maps of Imaginary Places Collection. |
