Summary:This film was inspired by the true story of two African -American men on death row. The younger man, Bradley, is learning to read in prison, coached by Cleveland, who uses the Bible as a primer. Bradley is about to undergo an IQ test. Bradley, who has been humiliated all his life for being "stupid" is tragically conflicted about deliberately failing the test, which would save his life.
