Description
Summary:This innovative work is based on an actual letter by a teenager reaching out to understand a childhood of abuse. Veronica was molested by her mother's boyfriend. In the letter she expresses her hopes and dreams "to be a judge". But life has left her with an imprisoned father, and an addicted mother under the sway of her boyfriend. When her mother fails to protect her from her abuser, Veronica mourns that things with her mother "will never be the same."This short but powerful video uses Veronica's heartfelt words and captures the feeling of lost innocence and vulnerability. A unique resource for counselors, and in classrooms to open discussion.
