| Item Description: | Issued in slipcase. "400 copies of the book have been printed by Esther and Leonard Baskin and Richard Warren at The Gehenna Press. Compositor: William Scully, Pressman: Romeo Cadieux. The drawings have been printed by Meriden Gravure. The portrait of Owen was wood engraved by Leonard Baskin from a drawing by Ben Shahn and printed from the wood block. Thirty-five copies have been bound in half-leather with an extra proof of the wood engraving printed on Japanese vellum, and signed by the artist and engraver. These copies are numbered I-XXXV."--Colophon. The Cushing Library/Ragan Military copy is number VIII and is inscribed by Esther and Leonard Baskin. |
