| Item Description: | Skylab astronauts, Charles Conrad Jr., Dr. Joseph P. Kerwin, and Paul J. Weitz, commissioned their mission insignia from Kelly and ignited his interest in Skylab I. A limited edition of 500 posters featuring Skylab above the earth with the sun in the background celebrated the actual launch. The painting was used as the cover of the June 1973 issue of Analog magazine (New York, N.Y. : Condé Nast) in which his article on the creation of the Skylab Expedition 1 patch was published.
