Title page in black and red, within single-ruled black border; roman and italic type. Preceding calendar are tables, also in black and red, of the moveable feasts for 1678, dates of terms when superior courts are in sessions, tide-table for various ports throughout England and Europe, an extensive table showing the ages of the moon, and a chronological list of important events, from the beginning of creation to the Treaty of Westminster of 1674, which ended the third Anglo-Dutch War. Calendar in red and black, with two pages for each month noting saints' days, phases of the moon, positions of the planets, Dominical Letters, and weather conditions. Includes a small woodcut of the anatomical man, predictions for the four quarters (seasons), notes on eclipses for 1678, interest and lease tables, and a short treatise on the basic principles of astronomy. Signatures: A-C⁸ [$4 signed ( -A₁, A₃, B₁, B₃, B₄, C₃); A₂ missigned A]. The Cushing Library/Laughlin Collection copy is bound in gilt-paneled red morocco, with the crowned monogram of Charles II in each corner and horizontal vellum divider strips between each almanac.
