Title page in black and red within type ornament border; roman and italic type.
Preceding calendar are a table of the kings and queens of England, table of interest "at 6 pounds", and chronologies of memorable and "other" things.
Calendar in black and red, listing Dominical Letters, saints' days, weather predictions, and parts of the body affected by the position of the planets on each day.
Last [16] pages, with title "A prognostication for the year of our Lord God 1678," contain description of the four quarters of the year, description of the twelve houses and the human qualities and activities they affect, notes on eclipses, the nature of the planets, and a woodcut diagram of the twelve astrological houses.
Personal advertisement on last p. from the author, seeking a backer with a hundred pounds to lend him.

The Cushing Library/Laughlin Collection copy is bound in gilt-paneled red morocco, with the crowned monogram of Charles II in each corner and horizontal vellum divider strips between each almanac. It was bound in the workshop of Samuel Mearne -- bookseller's description.
