| Item Description: | In verse. The Cushing Library/Rare Books copy is wanting the engraved title page and printed title page. The Cushing Library/Rare Books copy contains a letter from Richard Garnett addressed to "My dear Lee," dated January 2, 1906 (possibly Sidney Lee). First leaf: Engraved title page. The poem titles are arranged on the title page with a complex system of brackets. Another state of STC 7222, with added engraved title page printed on [A1r] and an engraved portrait on [A2v]. The engraved title reads "Poems by Michael Drayton Esquyer. Collected into one Volume. With sondry peeces inserted neuer before Imprinted"; the portrait is signed: Wil. Hole scul. "Englands heroicall epistles", "Idea", "Odes", "The legends of Robert, Duke of Normandie", "The owle", and "Pastorals" each have separate title page dated 1619; pagination and register are continuous. Imprint on these title pages (O2 recto, 2K2 recto, 2N2 recto, 2R3 recto, 3E2 recto, 3I3 recto) reads: "London, Printed for Iohn Smethwicke. 1619." Errors in paging: page 200 misprinted as 400, 321 as 319, and 335 as 355. Signatures: [A]⁴ B-3Q⁴. The Cushing Library/Rare Books copy is bound with The Battaile Of Agincourt / Michael Drayton.
