| Summary: | Juntos: Gabino, Luisa and Paco live in an apartment in Mexico City. They don't have any cold water, the fridge stops working and they have lost their dog Junto. Everything seems to go wrong and the situation reaches an extreme point. Living in the house now seems untenable. They decide to make a field trip to the woods where Gabino says Junto must have taken refuge. Todo, en fin, el silencio lo ocupaba (All things were now overtaken by silence) is a documentary film about the filming of a monologue from Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz's poem Primero sueño. It shows actress Jesusa Rodríguez patiently awaiting between takes as the director and crew decide shots, setup lights and move the camera around. The film is a meditation on filmmaking and its process. |
