Dangerous when wet is a story of a first orgasm, and the difficulty in finding a language to describe the experience. The narration discusses the combination of fear and pleasure that informs sexual experience, while images reveal a subtext of desire that occurs between young women. Stick figures is expressing not only the visceral experience of violence, but the shared experience of homophobia that threatens everyone; Stick figures refers to a child's rendering of the human form, which appears genderless until the signifiers of clothing, hair or other objects are added. Parolé loosely based on a case study by Havelock Ellis of a lesbian who murders her lover; Parolé is an experimental film which examines the construction of sexuality through the discourses of medicine and psychology. If you lived here, you'd be home by now is about the divisiveness over land, the concept of home and the relationship of public and private space in small town America. Landscape stills shot in a variety of photographic traditions lay the foundation for stories "ripped from the headlines" of a small-town newspaper. In the Dear Mom and in the Physics of love Bonder examines her strained relationship between herself and her now deceased mother, looking to science as a way to comprehend the relationship, drawing upon such logic as the law of physics to make sense of that physical connection. If is a story of longing and loss, taking place within the confines of room whose objects represent the emotional perception of space, and the missing lovers presence. Closer to heaven is a film about loss, longing and changing weather. Painting by numbers is about three paintings recreated to become short narratives which examine the role of voyeurism in painting.
