After which time, Khmyr goes to war"¦Back from the war, he joins a collective farm but turns out to be the poorest worker. Once he helps to catch thieves plundering the collective property and gains respect of his co-workers. Is Khmyr to become like everyone else? The film was highly acclaimed by Sergei Eisenstein.
