Description
Summary:This program shows viewers how people in Colorado "just say no" to cabin fever during the winter by participating in all types of fun stuff. We begin with dog sledding to a backcountry yurt; then witness a snowboarding boardercross competition. One of the joys of animal conservation is tagging some very cute bear cubs in their den. In summer, people enjoy rock climbing, but in winter they up the stakes to enjoy ice climbing. Then, during a Winter Carnival Diamond Hitch Parade in Steamboat Springs, members of the high school band march on skis playing their school fight song down the parade route. We experience the thrills of a "Ski Splash"; then we close with the legendary Lighted Man, a traditional favorite that dates back to 1936.
