Summary:The Moschino label, founded by Italian designer Franco Moschino in 1983, has always taken an irreverent and playful take on fashion. The whimsical designer, who was also interested in pop culture, often imbued his collections with tongue-in cheek references, such as a T-shirt which depicted a television tuned to “Channel No. 5” - spoofing Chanel’s famous fragrance (for which French label sued.) After Franco Moschino’s untimely death in 1994, Rosella Jardini has served as the label’s creative director and has continued in Moschino’s imaginative footsteps since.
