A health needs assessment helps identify priority needs, and can assist health professionals devise more effective interventions in health promotion. Clearly identifying priority health issues and target groups is integral to program planning and evaluation. Through practical examples and case studies, this program illustrates some of the many ways in which needs assessments can be carried out and used.
