| Summary: | The book discusses current knowlege of the intra- and interindividual variability of external and internal exposure to chemicals. It also considers the individual's capacity to cope with these exposures and the factors which may determine this variability. The aim of such a survey is to reach the best possible protection of those workers who fall into the lower ranges of capacity to cope. Ideally, each worker should remain within his/her own capacity limits. If occupational health research and practice establish the impact of the contributing factors, prevention of early health impairment for almost all active workers could be achieved. |
