Description
Summary:This book contains the second part of the proceedings of the second working conference on systems in ambulatory care of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA), Working Group 5. Participants from 19 countries discussed the structure of ambulatory care, related to computer support and experiences in the design and implementation of computer systems, particularly for private practitioners. Whereas the previous Volume 29 contains the descriptions of the health care environment in the various countries, this second part contains reviews of distribution, aspects of planning and further development, and the discussion results of working groups addressing the issues of expert systems and new technologies in ambulatory care. Together, the two volumes present a comprehensive, up-to-date picture of systems in ambulatory care in the majority of industrialized countries. 1.
