Description
Summary:The results of two therapy studies (AML-BFM-78 and -83) involving 333 children with acute myelogenous leukemia are presented in this book. The analysis shows that it is possible early in the diagnostic stage to establish criteria for estimating the chances of achieving remission. The treatment strategy can thus be adapted to each individual case, so that side effects from unnecessarily strong therapeutic methods can be minimized.
