Abstract:An evaluation of the promotion of tourism for economic development in Less Developed Countries (LDCs) is presented. This book provides a review of many of the key issues involved, including the socio, cultural and environmental impacts of this movement of tourists from Developed to Less Developed Countries. These are interpreted from a perspective mainly derived from the sociology and anthropology of development.
