| Item Description: | This novel is part of the Headless project organized by the Swedish artist group Goldin + Senneby, which has included elements such as art exhibitions, an exhibition catalog, lectures ("performances"), and a previous novel (Looking for Headless). Headless Ltd. is an offshore finance company (registered in the Bahamas, managed from Gibraltar) being investigated by Goldin + Senneby; a number of the occurrences depicted in the novels were staged in order to bolster the plot, and there is an often-indistinguishable line between fiction and reality with regard to events, companies, and persons involved in the project. Authorship of the novels has been attributed to K.D., an identity which has been associated with various differing full (real?) names, and who allegedly was a client-services manager for Headless Ltd. in Gibraltar. "'Headless,' an exhilarating murder-mystery by the elusive K.D., probes the sordid secrets and sinister deeds of powerful financiers who use Caribbean firms to concel their fortunes....
