| Abstract: | This book provides details of the economic studies, led by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), in collaboration with the 5 Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) centres, namely CIAT (based in Colombia), CIMMYT (Mexico), ICARDA (Syria), ICRISAT (India) and IRRI (Philippines), on the costs of the conservation, use and distribution of germplasm in ex situ gene banks, and discusses their policy and management implications.
